The mural board is a popular activity at the Michener's Children's Gallery openings. Mural paper created by children is saved and used as wrapping paper for Gift of Giving art work every December.

The Children's Gallery mission is to work collaboratively with other educational organizations in the community and provide a venue for the creativity of children in our community.

  • We offer a diverse children's exhibition program that seeks to promote pride and foster self-esteem in our younger audiences.

  • We present a broad range of artistic expressions.

  • We offer exhibitions that enrich our knowledge, understanding and appreciation of children's creativity and their diverse cultural heritage.
Support for these exhibitions comes from a congressionally directed grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services awarded to the Michener Art Museum by Congressman Patrick Murphy. The Institute of Museum and Library Services is an independent Federal grant-making agency dedicated to creating and sustaining a nation of learners by helping libraries and museums serve their communities.

Gift of Giving
In November 2001 we began an annual celebration of art and giving, presenting a selection of two and three-dimensional works created by students from area schools. At the close of the exhibition all works are gift-wrapped and delivered to Trinity Episcopal Church, to be distributed to area residents who are affected by HIV/AIDS. Beginning in 2004, the generous support of FACT of Bucks County (Fighting Aids Together Continuously) has continued to make this exhibition possible.
