Arty Parties®: Make your child's next party a day to remember at the Michener!

How long is the party? Each Arty Party is two hours long. There is a 1/2 hour gallery tour, a 45-minute art lesson and time for cake and presents.

How many children can I invite? We welcome children age 5 and older, and you may invite up to 15 children.

What is the Arty Party theme? Choose from one of these Arty Party Themes for your gallery tour and studio art creation, or work with us to create a theme of your choosing: Look into Landscape, Playing with Portraits or Awesome Abstraction.

What is included in the Basic Arty Party? The Michener Museum provides the birthday cake and beverages. We'll coordinate colors, flavors and the message with you. The parent / party giver provides desired decorations, tablecloths for 4 tables, paper ware, silverware, candles, snacks, etc. Outside food must be transported through the Museum on a cart by Arty Party staff or Museum volunteer.

What about Museum admission? Parents of the birthday boy or girl receive free admission to the galleries on the day of the party.

What about additional party guests? Any additional party guests will be admitted to the galleries at our group fee of $5.50 per person the day of the party. Special exhibitions are not included in Arty Party admissions.

What is an Arty Party with all the Trimmings? This is a party perfect for busy parents or parents who want to leave the details to us. The Michener provides all of the above, plus…decorations, tablecloths for 4 tables, paper ware, silverware & candles. Two additional adult guests are admitted to the galleries free of charge the day of the Arty Party.

Do you provide party favors? Arty Party favors are also available at $6.00 additional per child. These favors must be arranged at least two weeks in advance.

What are the costs? The Basic Arty Party costs $250 for 2 hours. $125 deposit must be paid at time of party registration. The Arty Party with all the Trimmings costs $325 for 2 hours, and $175 must be paid at the time of party registration. Party balance must be paid prior to the day of the party.
