This acrylic painting was created by a high school student in preparation for a college portfolio during the Plein Air for Teens summer program. |

> View all Summer Camps
In Michener summer camps, your children will experience Bucks County's artistic traditions
while exploring a variety of art media and creating original works of art.
Registration for summer camp 2012 is underway. The permanent collection and special exhibitions
at the James A. Michener Art Museum will be the inspiration for creative art all summer long.
Camps are available from late June through mid-August. This year we are offering many new
programs, including several drawing and painting classes, a sculpture class, evening programs,
and a full day camp at the museum. We will continue to host our excellent programming focused
on comics, anime and fashion design, Fabulous Fives, and other full-day classes at Pine
Run Elementary School and the Guenste-Hertzel Studios.

Counselors in Training! Ages 14 to 18
We're seeking responsible teen volunteers ages 14 to 18 to become Counselors-in-Training (CITs)
at the James A. Michener Art Museum's many on-site and off-site summer camps. Volunteering
at a Michener camp is a fun way to spend part of your summer and a great way to learn about
art, education and art museums. You can also add valuable community service experience to your
national junior honor society, national honor society, resume and college applications.
Deadline for all CIT applications is May 1. A program participation fee of $100.00 is
payable on acceptance into the program. CIT Questions? Contact Ruth Anderson, Assistant
Curator of Education, at 215.340.9800 ext. 126 or email
randerson@michenerartmuseum.org.
