Meet the Michener at Roman Jewelers in Flemington, NJ

The James A. Michener Art Museum is reaching across the Delaware River and partnering with Roman Jewelers and BUCKS Magazine to bring neighboring Hunterdon and Bucks Counties together through art, music and local cuisine. Just fifteen minutes from New Hope, everyone is invited to attend this free event on April 5, 2008 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Roman Jewelers in Flemington, NJ to get acquainted with the Art & Soul of Bucks County: the Michener Art Museum.

Bucks County artist Robert Whitley, a master woodworker is the featured artist of a solo exhibition at the Museum in New Hope through June 1, 2008. He will be on site discussing his original and contemporary furniture designs, as well as historic reproductions.

Guests can also delight in an informal jazz performance by renowned bassist and composer Charles Fambrough and Friends. During his nearly 40-year professional career, Fambrough has performed and recorded with numerous bands, most famously Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and the Wynton Marsalis Quintet.

In addition, there will be selected items from our Museum Shop.

Market Roost Restaurant, also located in Flemington, will be providing a food sampling for all visitors. Triumph Brewery, with locations in Princeton, NJ, New Hope, PA and Philadelphia, PA will be providing a beer sampling for visitors, as well.

The event takes place April 5, 2008 from 2 pm to 5 pm and is free and open to the public.
