Philadelphia sculptor Kate Brockman makes elegant figurative work in bronze, often exploring classical themes from mythology and literature. She studied sculpture at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she was awarded the prestigious Cresson Memorial Traveling Scholarship and the Toppan Prize in Drawing. Locally she has exhibited her work at the Woodmere Art Museum and The Franklin Mint Museum. She creates her sculptures from beginning to end entirely in her Philadelphia studio, including making the molten bronze.
