Georgia O'Keeffe, 1920, platinum print, H. 10 x W. 7.8 inches. George Eastman House
February 24 through May 20, 2001

Photographer, writer, publisher, entrepreneur -- Alfred Stieglitz was an eloquent proponent of photography as a fine art during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As seen in this major retrospective, his own work spanned a multitude of genres, from cloud studies and landscapes, to gritty and poetic depictions of New York City, to the famed portrait series of his wife and muse, painter Georgia O'Keeffe.

Exhibition Sponsorship provided by: Gene W. Fickes, U.S. Trust, Whitney Photography. Additional support from Rutherford's Camera Shop.
